Andrew Hichens is fully trained and equipped to respond to all emergency calls covering crime, fire and accidents. He has just taken up his unique role in a new hub in Hayle, Cornwall, which brings together the three emergency services. In addition to being a qualified on-call firefighter with Cornwall fire and Rescue Service, he is also an emergency first responder for South Western Ambulance Service and has been trained by Devon and Cornwall Police.
