The Lamborghini being removed from the water. Two people managed to swim to safety after the Lamborghini they were travelling in hit the central reservation and collided with another barrier before ending up in a fishing lake. The white Lamborghini was travelling from Thrapston to Wellingborough, Northants, along the A45 when it went into the Higham Ferrers Fishing Club lake opposite Wharf Road, just after 1pm on Christmas Day. Police received two reports of the accident, one from a passer-by and one from the woman travelling in the car. A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: “The vehicle collided with the central reservation barrier and then hit the barrier at the side of the lake before going into the water.”
