A dog owner has promised to vote Liberal Democrat after her pet attacked one of the party’s political canvassers and bit him on the leg.
Robert Hyatt-Williams, 66, was delivering campaign leaflets to an unnamed woman living when the ”huge dog” ran out of the open doorway and bit him – drawing blood.
Retired GP Robert reported the incident to police but the woman was not charged after she promised to vote Liberal Democrat by way of apology.
Robert, of Cheltenham, Glos., said: ”It’s certainly a unique way of winning votes, but I don’t think I’ll be doing it again. It’s too painful.”
