Pop megastar Liam Payne sparked rumours of a new 1D romance when he turned up with a mystery girl – at a PIZZA HUT restaurant.
The One Direction heartthrob spent half an hour with his unidentified female accomplice at the branch in his home town of Wolverhampton last Monday.
According to diners Liam and the pretty brunette shared a vanilla ice cream dessert before going on to watch film ‘Despicable Me 2’ at a nearby cinema.
The sighting of the the 19-year-old – who recently split from his long term girlfriend Danielle Peazer – prompted suggestions among fans of the world’s biggest boy band that Liam is back on the dating scene.
One diner at the restaurant said: “They looked very friendly together and seemed quite flirty.
“It was hard to tell if they are definitely an item but they certainly seemed to get on with each other.
“They shared a cookie dough and vanilla ice cream and then went over to the cinema – which is very much the sort of thing you would do on a date.
“It would be odd to take an old school friend on such a romantic outing. But you never know.
“He hasn’t been single that long so it would be quite soon.”
While fellow diner and fan Annette Brown, 43, added: “He seemed very relaxed with all the attention and his lady friend seemed to be OK with all the fuss as well.
“Everyone wanted to know if it was his new girlfriend but nobody had the guts to ask.”
Other ‘Directioners’ took to social networking sites to express their shock at the sightings of the pair.
One fan @DianaJamesPayne tweeted: ” Oh HELL NO BLOODY no, FREAKING No, GET YOUR HANDS OFF OF MA MAN YOU GIRLY.”
While @SusiFrancessca added: “omg omg omg ! we need to know ! i know the manager of pizza hut so i may need to question him !”
Pizza Hut Restaurant bench manager Dominic McAndrew said the superstar appeared at the branch with no sign of an entorage and was only too happy to pose with staff and fans for snaps.
He said: “Liam was really friendly to the team and our diners – it was definitely a surprise to serve such a superstar but we were delighted to welcome him.”
Liam and ex-Danielle had been dating since meeting on X Factor in 2010 but broke up in at the end of April this year
It was rumoured they had been struggling to keep the relationship on the right track because of Liam’s hectic work schedule.
They initially ended their relationship last September, blaming long-distance woes as the reason for the split.
But they reunited just before Christmas when backing dancer Danielle flew out to watch her ex and the rest of the band perform in New York.
Despite his worldwide fame Liam regularly returns to his home town in the West Midlands.
Last month he showed up in the audience at the Grand Theatre in Wolverhampton to watch a performance of Ghost: The Musical.
He was also mobbed by fans outside Nandos.
Liam was also spotted enjoying a Christmas Bhuna at his local curry house while visiting his parents at the end of last year.
Oh dear. She seems certainly better than Danielle Peazer, but it doesn’t seem like she’s pretty enough for him.
