Diba Industries Ltd. received its fourth consecutive gold award in the annual Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) program. The honor was awarded to Diba based on its demonstrated commitment to accident and illness prevention at its Cambridge, UK manufacturing facility. The facility is certified to OHSAS 18001 for occupational health and safety, ISO 14001 for environmental management standards, ISO 9001 for quality management systems and ISO 13485 for medical device quality management systems.
Through the UK-based program, which is open to businesses of all types and sizes from around the world, judges consider entrants’ occupational health and safety management systems and track records, including practices such as leadership commitment and workforce involvement.
“We take a concerted approach when it comes to Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental matters, as these areas represent the three parts of our certified integrated management system,” said Diba Industries, Ltd.’s Operations Manager, Simon Charge.
“Through our well-trained employees, we manage risks by implementing preventive measures to ensure safe operations. Reducing incidents and health issues throughout all Diba facilities are a top priority for the company. Employees on all levels are obliged to act responsibly, as occupational safety is affected by everyone’s behaviour. Our performance is audited regularly and corrective measures are taken where necessary, ensuring that we achieve continuous improvement at all our sites. To have our efforts recognised by RoSPA for the fourth consecutive year is something we are very proud of at Diba.”
The awards mark achievement at merit, bronze, silver and gold levels. Gold medals are presented to organizations sustaining high standards of safety over consecutive years.
