Eighteen firefighters along with an air ambulance and police rushed to the property on Rylands Drive in Penn, Wolverhampton at 3.15pm yesterday, January 5, 2016. The blast occurred within a mile of Penn Road – where a massive gas explosion completely destroyed a pensioner’s home last Monday (28/12). It is unclear whether all occupants of the house have been accounted for but West Midlands Fire Service confirmed there had been at least one fatality.
