Couple find face of baby Jesus in wallpaper while decorating their kitchen

A couple decorating their home had the fear of God put into them after this image of the baby Jesus appeared – on their WALLPAPER.

Stunned Sheila and Richard Woolhouse were stripping old wallpaper from their kitchen when they spotted the religious incarnation.

The eerie damp marking appears to show a baby wrapped in linen – with eyes, nose, mouth and hair clearly defined.

Sheila, 63, of St Austell, Cornwall, says the image looks like the baby Messiah.

She said: ”It’s spooky – it looks like the baby Jesus. They way it looks like a child wrapped in swaddling – it really has got religious connotations.

”The more you look at it, the more real it becomes. A few of the neighbours and friends have been round and they have been surprised by it as well.”

Richard added: ”We’ve lived her fore 23 years but never noticed the image until we decided to take out a small wall in the kitchen area.

”I do believe in the after life and there have been a few strange goings-on in here over the years.”

Really? It's a smudge on a wall! Religious kooks will clutch at any straws to feel that their invisible sky daddy is in their life… doesn't change the fact that you have to be a Christian to see "Jesus" there.

Shouldn't that headline be, more precisely:

Couple uncover stain that people say reminds them of Western art's representation of the baby Jesus

(Though, personally, I think the "face" looks more like an illustration of an 18th century romantic poet – or Billy Crystal.)

They haven't actually "found the face" of anyone. And who would know what the baby Jesus (if he existed) looked like?

Also, the way you say the image "appeared" gives the impression it suddenly came out of nowhere rather than being discovered as the paper was stripped off.

(And is it actually on their WALLPAPER or on the wall that had been covered by the paper?)

Whether the "image" is religious or not is open to debate, but I disagree with the use of the word "incarnation": if an actual flesh and blood baby had appeared, that would be an incarnation.

Please present the facts as they are, without trying to sensationalize and spin the story into something it isn't. This is just another of the many cases of pareidolia [see Wikipedia] that are given more importance than they deserve by the media.

You mean they found a nasty stain that has been badly embellished in the hope that some gullible reporter will put their picture in the paper.

I am a bedraggled refugee from the "Holy" Roman Catholic Church, now Atheist, so I can say:: "Been there, done that".

I could ask what those people had been drinking, but their problem is much worse that that. Their minds have been POISONED by Religion.

ps. Why did Mary & Joseph name their baby son after a swear word.

Guys….please pay attention. Its a hoax. Ive seen this work before. Its a billion faces all inside each other. Dont believe me? Grab any two points on the “stain”, nothng sideways or upside down, and find the ace. Then zzom in and the entire thing ismade of THOUSANDS of faces. Point is – THIS IS NOT A RANDOM SCENARIO OR A HOLY ONE. This is the work of an artist
