Darren Wilson, 46, has been an avid Batman fan for more than two decades and wanted a fitting room to house his £15,000 collection of comics and memorabilia. The married sculptor spent most weekends and evenings for a year and a half transforming the spare room of his home into a batcave. He installed wooden joists and mesh to hold countless stalactites made from layers of paper mache, topped with SIX colours of grey paint. Mr Wilson even had a mock pipe installed through the middle of the third bedroom, to make it look more like Bruce Wayne’s secret underground headquarters.
