Wayne Rooney’s wife Coleen has unveiled her first-ever clothing designs, in partnership with high street store Littlewoods.
The WAG and businesswoman, 24, based the range on her favourite designer fashion looks, giving ordinary women on a budget the chance to recreate her style.
She says: “I am often asked about the clothes I wear and my sense of style. By creating a range myself, I hope to make my favourite looks available to all.”
The collection consists of 25 pieces including maxi dresses, shifts, tailored items and prom dresses.
Mum-of-one Coleen talked to the Liverpool Echo about her status as a style icon earlier this month, saying: “It is nice for me when people say ‘oh I like what you wore,’ and now what I really love is when girls come up and tell me they’ve just ordered something from my collection.
“I haven’t seen anyone wearing it yet, but it’s still early so I think maybe I’ll start to see more and more and when I do I’ll just have a little smile to myself.”
She also named Audrey Hepburn as her fashion inspiration, saying: “Her style was just so elegant and classic, the simple black dress in Breakfast at Tiffany’s was really beautiful.
“I try to choose things that I know, when I look at them in a few years’ time, I’ll still think ‘oh I really like that.’
“As I’ve got older I’ve gotten wiser with fashion. I think I did used to buy more on impulse.”
Coleen also revealed how her style has changed since becoming mum to one-year-old Kai.
She explained: “I’ve got a lot more flats now… The last thing I want when I’m trying to get the buggy in the car, especially if there’s lots of photographers around, is to be worrying about whether I’m going to fall over in my heels!”
The range is exclusively available from littlewoods.com.
