A brand new social care resource has been launched in the UK this week, offering a free platform for people to search for social care. Social Care Source is the first commission free service of its kind to operate in Britain.
The online portal allows customers seeking social care services to enter in their desired budget and create an advert for their chosen service. Care providers are then able to get in touch with customers, based on their budget and the services they’re looking for, to discuss their offering.
This new platform is completely safe, as both customers and providers are ID Verified and all conversations are completely confidential. The service is commission free, and allows customers to sign up for free. Care providers are asked to pay a small membership fee each month, but are being offered a 30-day free trial and other payment incentives to get involved.
The site also allows customers to review documents, discuss the motivations behind customers’ adverts for social care, book appointments or face to face meetings, and do so in a safe forum.
Malcolm Henderson (Director) of Social Care Source, commented: “When undertaking research for my MSC in Health and Social Care, I realised that social care customers are nearly always responding to the market, rather than the market responding to customer demand’.
“I wanted to launch a personalised and completely safe forum for customers and providers to come together to exchange information and reach agreement. Social Care Source offers all of this to an excellent standard whilst allowing customers to retain their entire budget to purchase the services they need.”
Social Care Source was launched on March 1st 2017, and is now available for social care customers and care providers to use. To find out more, please visit the Social Care Source website, or take a look at this video to see how the portal operates.
