Cheryl Cole is reportedly outraged after her picture was used to illustrate a Russian mail order bride website.
The Daily Star reported that photographs of the X Factor judge were plastered across the website russianbrides.org.
Geordie Cheryl, 27, was said to be “livid” at the use of the pictures, which included a snap of her in a white cardigan above the heading: “Russian brides.”
The newspaper contacted the site’s owner, Irina Grebneva, who claimed the pictures had appeared “by mistake” and insisted she had never heard of the singer.
The pictures have now been removed.
Cheryl seems to be popular in the ex-Soviet state as it’s not the first time her image has appeared on a Russian sleaze site.
Last year a pic of her and the rest of Girls Aloud was published on a website selling escort services alongside the words: “Friendly and sophisticated girls are waiting for your call.”
She also received an apology from auction website ebay after pornographic pictures with her head superimposed were sold online.
