The Irish warbler told The Sun that while all the other finalists have stayed in contact with the judges, Cheryl hasn’t yet spoken to her protégés.
She said: “Matt has herd from Dannii, I’m sure the boys have been in touch with Simon, but I know Cheryl hasn’t been in touch with any of the girls.”
Mary also revealed that her mentor, Louis Walsh, has helped her out with her album, Mine & Yours, which is due out next month.
It seems Cheryl’s determination to land a job on the US version of the show may have distracted her from supporting the girls.
Mary also heaped praise on Cher, who was lauded by Cheryl throughout the series.
She said: “Cher’s a completely different girl – she’s looking after herself now. She’s calmed down an awful lot.
“She still has her moments, but she’s a young kid. She wants to reach for the stars, she wants it all.”
Cher, 17, has recently been in the US working on her debut album.
