Charlie Sheen fired from Two and a Half Men

Charlie Sheen has officially been sacked from his sitcom Two and a Half Men by bosses Warner Brothers.

The actor, whose spectacular public breakdown over the past week has transfixed both America and the rest of the world, will lose out on a salary of almost $2 million per episode.

A statement from TV bosses said: “After careful consideration, Warner Brothers Television has terminated Charlie Sheen’s services on Two and a Half Men, effective immediately.”

However they failed to say whether the show, which is currently suspended following Charlie’s rants about its creator, will continue without its main star.

The troubled actor reacted to the news at his Los Angeles home in the typical gibberish his fans have become used to.

He told TMZ.com: “This is very good news. They continue to be in breach, like so many whales.

“It is a big day of gladness at Sober Valley Lodge because now I can take all of the bazillions, never have to look at whatshiscock again, and I never have to put on those silly shirts for as long as this warlock exists in the terrestrial dimension.”

Charlie’s dismissal is the latest in a long list of catastrophes brought on by his erratic behaviour.

Last Thursday a judge ordered that he stay at least 100 yards away from his estranged wife Brooke Mueller and forcibly removed his twin sons, Bob and Max, from his home.

However, the star’s endless rounds of media interviews and his catchphrases, such as his claims he has ‘tigerblood’ in him and that he is ‘bi-winning’ rather than bi-polar, have transformed him in to an internet sensation.

Last week he entered the Guinness Book of Records the fastest person to amass one million followers on Twitter, and sparked a number of trending topics on the site, including ‘#tigerblood’, ‘#winning’ and ‘#teamsheen.’
