She was last seen at around 5.45pm on North Hill in Plymouth. Celeste a lifeguard at China Fleet Country Club, told her mum Julie Smith, that she would be staying at a friends house for the night. Celeste was not expected home and Julie was therefore not initially worried for her daughter's safety. Julie later received messages from her daughter's friends who planned to meet with her at 1pm on Wednesday afternoon in Plymouth. Celeste never arrived and so her friends contacted her mother later in the afternoon to tell her that they had not been able to contact her by phone.
