A suspected cannabis grower was arrested after allowing a plant to grow to 6ft tall – towering over his garden fence.
Police were tipped-off after the marajuana bush became clearly visible to passers-by outside the property in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset.
Officers searched the house at 47 Brue Close and found cannabis bud drying next to radiators and on a clothes airer in the house.

They arrested a 55-year-old man on suspicion of cultivating cannabis – before heading to the house next door, 48 Brue Close.
There they found a partially-cultivated plant in the garden, buds in the house along with weapons including a baseball bat.
Police also seized two sets of scales and cash inside the home, number 48 Brue Close, and arrested a 49-year-old man.

Andy Vallender, neighbourhood beat manager, was one of the team who searched the addresses in the seaside town.
He said: “While we obviously had information to prompt us going to the houses, we did not expect to find anything like the size of plants and quantity of cannabis.
“People need to understand that cultivating cannabis is against the law and we will act on any information we get about people growing it.
“When you consider the other things seized from number 48 – the scales, the money, the weapons – you can see it is not a harmless pastime.”
On October 5, Bedfordshire Police seized the biggest cannabis plant they had ever discovered from an elderly couple who grew it after buying it from a car boot sale.
Their ‘shrub’ – carefully tended into a tidy shape – has since been destroyed.
Legalize!!!
one day, the police will realise that they lose a lot more respect than they gain when they enforce these laws.
