Britney Spears yesterday announced that her hotly-anticipated comeback album will be called Femme Fatale and tweeted a snap of the front cover.
The artwork shows a fresh-looking Britney posing for a close-up with her hand resting on the back of her head.
Britney, 27, said on the social networking site: “I’ve poured my heart and soul in to this album over the last 2 years. I’ve put everything I have in to it.
“This album is for you, my fans, who have always supported me and have stuck by me every step of the way! I love you all!”
Her army of fans reacted with delight, pushing ‘Femme Fatale’ in to the site’s trending topics.
One wrote: “I don’t wanna wait, I want it NOW!”
Another added: “Femme Fatale will be Britney’s best album ever! I can’t wait!”
The first single from the album, Hold it Against Me, debuted an edgier, dubstep-influenced sound from the princess of pop and raced to number one in the US charts.
Femme Fatale will be Britney’s first studio album since 2008’s Circus.
