Britain’s first daredevil academy has opened – teaching people the art of walking on fire.
The quirky school will also offer lessons in walking barefoot over broken glass and breaking arrows with the throat – sharp end against the skin, the other against a wall.
Owner Steve Consalvez, 46, said the four day courses were designed to give people a sense of “confidence and personal empowerment”.
He said: “I want people to understand just how awesome they are and just how ludicrous some of the fears and feelings that hold them back are too.
“We help people let go of the things that they realise are pathetic and unimportant and help them to become determined and confident.
“At the end of four days they have a sense of confidence and personal empowerment that no other course in the world can provide for them.”
The academy in Peterborough, Cambs. can cater for up to 30 brave people with the first fire-walking lessons over 20ft of hot coals taking place in May.
Steve is the only person in the UK to be trained to master level by the Fire Walking Institute of Research and Education.
