A bingo caller voted the best in Britain is retiring – after shouting out 64 million numbers and giving away more than £16 MILLION.
Blake Robson, 38, has been calling ‘legs eleven’ and ‘two little ducks’ for 23 years at his local Mecca venue.
But Blake, of South Shields, Tyne and Wear, is now hanging up his microphone and will shout out his last numbers on March 27.
He has handed out #16m in prizes and called 64 million numbers and was voted National Bingo Caller of the Year 2007.
Blake said: “A pregnant woman used to come because she said my voice was soothing, and stopped the baby from moving about as much.
“It was so unique, so different, but nice to know what effect I could have on people. It has been an absolute pleasure.”
