An ebay seller whose bizarre wetsuit advert went viral has pledged to donate 90 per cent from the sale to victims of the Japanese earthquake.
Kind-hearted D Morgan, from Truro, put his ”urine free” wetsuit on the popular auction website last week with the advert promptly going viral thanks to his comical description.
Amazingly, more than 250,000 have viewed the wetsuit in which he goes to great lengths to describe the condition of the product and his own impeccable grooming.
He wrote: ”I rinsed it in fresh water after EVERY session so it’s in VERY good condition as I look after my gear, I always do.
”Similarly, I take care of my body and shower at least once a day and always moisturise. Yes, you’re probably getting a feel for the kind of man I am.
”You’re probably thinking ‘people p*ss in wetsuits, I’m not sure about a second hand wetsuit’, but believe it or not I have NEVER urinated in this suit, seriously, these suits are too good to be doing such a vulgar act in.
”The wee just ends up staying in the suit and then when you’re sat having a post-surf pint in the pub you smell awful and girls don’t like boys that smell of p*ss, so you just sit there, alone all night, sobbing into your pint of Betty Stoggs like a lonely desperate p*ss smelling man.”
He also admits the only reason he’s selling the suit is because he’s ”a flash t**t who buys a new one each season” who likes ”the feel of fresh neoprene on my soft skin”.
With the huge amount of global interest garnered up by the advert, bids are now approaching a staggering £1,000.
As a result, the Cornwall surfer has decided to make use of ”all the ‘f*cking energy man” and pledge 90 per cent of the sale price to the Red Cross to aid their efforts in Japan.
The original makers of the wetsuit, Hawaiian company XCEL, got in touch with the seller and offered a new suit worth £300 to the auction winner while DryRap has donated a special towel to the auction. Carve magazine is also throwing in a free subscription.
95% donation now and it’s hit £1550 with 331,000 views – good lad!
£100 000 and still going with 2 days to go !
£11,100 and 2 days to go! I have been following this since Tuesday when it was at £60, I felt the urgent need for a wetsuit myself when I read it – my cat thought I had gone mad the way I was laughing. Friday afternoon I just could not believe how in the space of an hour it leapt by almost £5,000. I truly hope this goes for a massive amount. What is really good fun is that people are sharing in the ride and asking Dan ‘pertinent’ questions and he is continuing with his off the wall answers.
