A classic Bentley originally owned by ‘The Fifth Beatle’ Brian Epstein is expected to sell for £70,000 at auction.
Epstein, the famous manager of the Fab Four, bought the stately looking S3 new in 1964.
The car was one of the most luxurious of the time and it was also one of the most expensive, costing more than £6,000 new.
When The Beatles returned from a trip to the USA they were asked if they had time to spend their money, at which point they responded by saying: “What money?”
The interviewer responded by saying: “Doesn’t he (Brian Epstein) give any to you?” At this point, George responded by joking: “No, no. Have you seen that car of his?”
Epstein held onto the car for around 18 months and it has been in the same ownership for the past 25 years.

The current owner has asked Coys to sell the Bentley at its Spring Classics sale in London on March 11th.
It still has the original AJB400B registration and is expected to sell for between £40,000 and £70,000.
The car is currently taxed and MoT’d and comes with current V5C registration document. The original radio has been converted to FM and comes with a tool kit with jack and spare wheel.
Under the bonnet of the Bentley is a 6.2-litre V8 engine which gave the saloon, which weighed around two-tonnes, a smooth ride.
Chris Routledge, managing partner at Coys, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to own a car directly connected to The Beatles.
“It is in great condition, full of history and would certainly make a perfect addition to any collection.”
