Stephen Wheeler, 45, has been a security guard for 25 years but quit after just eight nights at the cave based tourist attraction. A new cave in the attraction spooked him and his pet rottweiler, Sheerman, so much that they refused to patrol the whole system. The five-year-old dog would flat out refuse to go in the cave while Stephen would often feel like he was being watched, touched on the neck or his torch batteries would run out. Burly Stephen, from Easton, Bristol, said: “Sheerman isn’t phased by anything but he didn’t want to go into that chamber. “I have done security work all over the place, in graveyards and film sets, he has always come with me and never been like this.
