Recruitment firm Blue Octopus has added to its portfolio of career sites for leading brands – with two new sites for Regatta and Equity Housing.
The online jobs agents use their own web designers to create responsive sites specialising in opportunities at the companies, while also integrating their own recruitment system to filter applicants.
Blue Octopus’s unique method of integrating their ‘Octo’ recruitment software within clients’ dedicate career websites has seen impressive results for previous companies including Cats Protection and Together Trust.

The sites for Equity Housing and Regatta are now expected to see similar results, with more applicants – and of a better standard.
Blue Octopus joint managing director Liam Coleman said: ‘We’re really pleased to have launched yet more careers sites in what’s becoming a really impressive portfolio of outstanding online solutions.
‘Clients for whom we’ve developed sites in the past have seen a large increase in the quality of incoming job applications and brand awareness, and we’d expect both Equity and Regatta to see the same kind of business development.
‘Thanks go to our Marketing and IT teams as well as all those in the Service team who manage the accounts.’
Liam said that job seekers looking for work with a leading outdoor clothing and accessories brand are now finding it easier than ever to view and apply for Regatta vacancies.
While the main focus of Equity Housing’s new site was to bring together roles from four sub-brands, simplifying the job application process and offering the most choice.
The sites are more accessible than the previous solutions due to their clever responsive design. As well as ensuring cross-platform compatibility and aesthetic appeal, this improves Equity Housing and Regatta’s sites’ search engine optimisation due to recent Google search algorithm updates that reward mobile-friendly pages.
On the back end, job applications and candidate scoring and selection are jointly handled by the client and Blue Octopus teams through the custom-built applicant tracking system ‘Octo’. A central part of the service provided to all clients, Octo is robust, mobile-friendly and under constant development for improvements.
Regatta’s site additionally employs its own content management system (CMS) allowing the client access to make changes without contacting the website administrator. The in-house marketing team at Regatta can directly upload images for display on the site; this results in more up-to-date and relevant visual content, so that the marketing team can stay up to date with the latest company and seasonal trends and promote this through their on boarding of new staff, which is customised for each brand.
Both firms opted for the most powerful licence which Octo has to offer ‘Octo First Class’. First Class provides users with a comprehensive list of features such as our Talent Pool, Full System Branding, Social Media Hub and Vacancy Requisition as standard.
As with all Octo First Class clients, these careers hubs are built from scratch with all the features that the client requires. The system is also customised in line with the company brand guidelines to give a unique look and feel so that candidates and staff are continuously engaged with the companies brand throughout the hiring process.
