Nottingham Forest have hired former manager Billy Davies as their new boss, it was confirmed today.
Davies took Forest to two play-off semi finals before being sacked under former chairman Nigel Doughty in June 2011.
After a turbulent spell which has seen FOUR different managers, Davies has returned to the City Ground after being appointed by new Kuwaiti owners, the Alhasai family.

The Alhasai’s bough Forest after the sudden death of Doughty but have been heavily criticsed after sacking then boss Steve Cotteril, his successor Sean O’Driscoll after a 4-2 victory over Leeds, and then falling out with Alex McLeish.
But they will hope that hiring Davies – a fan’s favourite who has spoken before of ‘unfinished business’ at Forest – will win back support from restless supporters.
Coach Rob Kelly will be in charge at Forest’s trip to Bristol City this weekend, where O’Driscoll is now manager, but Davies will begin work the week after.
