See SWNS story SWCARPARK; One of Britain’s most successful entrepreneurs has announced plans to transform an old multi-storey car park into a £2 BILLION apartment block. Billionaire businessman John Caudwell bought Audley Street garage and surrounding buildings in Mayfair for around £155 million in 2011. He wants to demolish the site and replace it with a state-of-the-art residential development to rival One Hyde Park, the world’s most expensive apartment block. The nine-storey building will also have a lower ground floor and four basement levels which will accommodate 30 high-end properties.
