A quaint village in the Cotswolds has literally had its chips after two new residents moved in – its first takeaway for 40 years and David Hasselhoff.
Former Knightrider star Hasselhoff has announced he is buying a home with girlfriend Hayley Roberts in Broadway, Worcestershire.
The actor – know as The Hoff – has put an offer in for the new house in the same week the village welcomed its first fish and chip shop since the 1970s.
Local businessman Andrew Riley has opened up Russell’s Fish and Chips – Broadway’s first chippy in more than 40 years.
Baywatch actor Hasselhoff , 60, has confirmed he has put his Californian mansion on the market and is buying a home in the village.
He said: “We recently went to the Cotswolds for Hayley’s birthday and fell in love with the place.
“We looked at a couple of houses there and have found a place in a little village called Broadway, which we’ve put an offer in for.
“The Cotswolds won’t know what has hit them. I’m hoping the locals take to us though.”
Andrew, 47, added: “Everyone loves takeaway fish and chips and I’m really happy to be bringing it back to Broadway after all this time.”
