These incredible pictures show a golden autumn sun rising over foggy Britain.
Rain-lashed Somerset was covered in a blanket of fog in the early hours of Sunday morning, before the sun rose and burned-off the mist.


Against the golden sky, tree tops poke out through the carpet of violet fog covering rural parts of the county.
Joggers took advantage of the dry weather, and went for an early morning run through mist-covered fields.


The river Avon was coated in mist as it flowed through the outskirts of Bristol, underneath the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge.
The region, which has seen localised flooding in some parts, was treated to a rare glimpse of blue sky after all the fog disappeared.
