Armed gang of raiders smashed their way into an exclusive jewellers and stole watches worth more than HALF A MILLION POUNDS.
Scotland Yard are appealing for witnesses to the dramatic robbery which happened at the Watches of Switzerland branch on London’s Oxford Street.
Three men burst into the shop around 17.30 on Thursday, threatened staff with a handgun and smashed display cases open with hammers.
They grabbed valuable timepieces worth more than £500,000 but also left cases of Breitling and Cartier watches untouched.
Detective Chief Inspector Paul Johnson said: “I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time of this robbery to come forward and speak to police.
“I am particularly keen for any information from people who saw three men running from the Watches of Switzerland store in the direction of Grosvenor Square.”
