Four alleged jewellery robbers who were chased from a raid by supergran Ann Timson have appeared in court.
Patrick O’Brian, 18, Michael Sharpe, 39, Terry Ingles, 22, and Jason Hartles, 25, are all accused of raiding Michael Jones jewellers in Northampton on Monday.
The court heard that £100,000 of watches taken in the incident are still missing.
The four men, who are all charged with robbery and theft of a motor vehicle, were refused bail and remanded in custody.
Joanne Van-Geijlswijk, prosecuting, described Ann Timson‘s dramatic attack on the gang to Northampton Magistrates’ Court.
She said: ”She [Ann] said she felt angry and told the men to stop.
”She swung her handbag at the male on that moped and then she swung her handbag at the male on the other moped causing them both to lose balance and fall off.”
None of the watches have been recovered and police are still seeking two further men in connection with the robbery.
The four men, who are all from London, will now appear before a judge at Northampton Crown Court on April 15.
