An armed robber dressed as Santa Claus climbed through the drive-through window of a KFC outlet in Derbyshire – before raiding the safe and stealing cash. See NTI story NTISANTA. Staff at the restaurant, in Nottingham Road, Alfreton, were shocked by the Father Christmas thief as he climbed through the window wielding a large knife. He then demanded access to the safe and left the scene with a quantity of money. The robbery took place at about 10.30pm on Saturday night and police have appealed for witnesses.
