Anthony McPartlin – one half of Geordie duo Ant and Dec – was last night recovering after being punched in the face by a drunken pub goer.
The I’m a Celebrity presenter was watching the footie with pals in his local pub when a ‘teenage rudeboy’ launched the unprovoked attack.
Ant, 35, was at the Barley Mow in Chiswick, West London, when the thug punched him after yelling: “Where’s your girlfriend?”
He was apparently referring to Ant’s long-term sidekick, Declan Donnelly.
Eyewitness Giedrius Kudzinskas said: “Ant didn’t react and this bloke launched himself at him and punched him in the face.
“Ant reeled back and then a big fight broke out as his mates came to help him. Other people jumped in and held back the other guy.
“The bloke was thrown out but when Ant left later, he was waiting for him. There was another lot of shouting and then Ant walked off.”
A spokesperson for Ant confirmed he had been hit but would not be taking the matter any further.
The former Byker Grove star – whose £5 million salary should cheer him up – was bruised and shaken but is not thought to have needed hospital treatment.
