Janne Laitinen got behind the wheel of an Audi RS6 super-saloon equipped with a special set of studded tyres manufactured by Nokian. He then took the German car onto the ice over Gulf of Bothnia in Finland for the daredevil challenge. After two runs on the 7.5-mile track Laitinen averaged a staggering 335.7kph (208.6mph). At this speed, the car is traveling at more than 93 metres per second with each tyre stud hitting the ice 43 times. The incredible speed beating Laitinenâs own previous record by 2.5mph, which he set last year.
