Adele‘s company made a staggering £17 MILLION last year – despite the singer not releasing or performing any music.
The Grammy-winning phenomenon is currently topping the album charts after selling millions of copies of her new album, 25, in less than a week.
But even while she was in the musical wilderness raising her young son, the chart-topper was reaping the rewards of a stunning few years.
Figures released at Companies House today (Tues) show her company, Melted Stone Limited, earned £16,996,737 in 2014.
This works out at a staggering £46,566 PER DAY for the company, which deals with “artistic creation”.
The huge earnings are down to royalties from her two previous albums, 19 and 21, which have continued to sell despite being six and four years old respectively.
This took the company’s overall assets to more than £25,383,784. Out of this she took a dividend of £7 million.
Total creditors were £25,029,055, which reduced overall funds at the business to £354,729. Full details of the creditors aren’t revealed.
Incredibly, this won’t be all of the money she made in the UK from her music in 2014.
Adele also has Melted Stone Publishing Limited, which looks after earnings from her lyrics.
Accounts are yet to be released for this firm but in 2013 it reported a profit of 3.9 million for just eight months.
The mother-of-one, 27, is now estimated to have fortune in excess of £50 million which makes her one of the richest Brits under the age of 30.
It is a far cry from her modest upbringing in London with her music bringing her critical as well as commercial success.
Married to Simon Konecki, the couple have a son, Angelo, three, and homes in Brighton and London.
And she can expect her wealth to rocket even further over the next 12 months and become one of the UK’s richest musicians.
Her new album, which is one of the most hotly-anticipated in recent years, was released on Friday and has been breaking records around the world.
In the USA it sold 2.3 million copies in just three days, while more than 500,000 Brits bought it in the same time. It is set to become the fastest-selling album in UK history.
