FILE PICTURE – Soldier Dave Curnow whose funeral takes place at Truro Cathedral today, October 22, 2015. The young soldier who had served in Afghanistan was murdered on the streets of his home town. Dave Curnow, 20, died from injuries he sustained in a brutal attack in Redruth, Cornwall. A member of the public found him unconscious on the ground following an assault outside a nightclub at 2.45am. He suffered serious head injuries and was taken by ambulance to the Royal Cornwall Hospital before being transferred to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.
