Free climber Matt Adams who performed one of the sport’s most dangerous feats – just over a year after he broke his spine on another climb. He is seen here recovering from his spinal injury. See SWNS story SWBRIDGE: The world’s most terrifying free climbing picture shows a lad dangling from his mate’s arm over a ravine – after he nearly DIED falling from another bridge. Medics told British daredevil Matt Adams, now 23, that he would never climb again after he shattered his spine after a 30ft plummet from a bridge. But the self-styled urban explorer travelled to Belgium where he scaled a bridge and dangled dangerously off the side of it from his pal 25-year-old Danny Batchelor’s arm. Matt, of Lowestoft, Suffolk, said: “Doctors telling me I may never walk again, and my mum telling me she didn’t want me climbing at all, has just pushed me onwards to newer and greater heights.” He hung above eight lanes of speeding traffic from the bridge in March, just over a year after his ill-fated bridge climb in Shepton Mallet, Suffolk. He was bedridden for six weeks while his spine healed and had numerous surgeries to fix his broke wrists, feet and ankles.
