Police are hunting a drunken yob who smashed up a car – while dressed as the INCREDIBLE HULK.

The yob – who wore green make-up and ripped clothes – was seen leaping up and down on the roof of a Ford Fiesta and smashing the sunroof.

He is believed to be a student from Worcester University who was celebrating Fresher’s Week.

Hundreds of students had a boozy night in the city on Sunday dressed as Marvel Comic super heroes.

Residents Andy Churchill, 49, and his wife Bev, 52, who bought the car for their daughter, were awoken by loud banging outside their home in St John’s, Worcester, just after 3.30am on Monday (20/09).

Furious Bev stormed: ”You can understand if they go out, have a drink and pick up a traffic cone on their way home, but this is criminal damage and is totally unacceptable.

”I’m furious. My daughter now has to save up her wages to buy a new car because of some mindless idiot.”

Police are also trying to trace two other thugs in fancy dress who were caught on CCTV attacking the outside of the Wheatsheaf Inn pub at 4.50am on Sunday (19/09).

The men, who were wearing just pants and T-shirts, are seen sprinting across a busy main road before yanking off blackboard signs outside the pub.

After ripping down a blackboard, one man – wearing a makeshift white cape – runs back across the road with the sign under his arm.

Landlord Guy Beech said the yobs caused £250 worth of damage.

He said: ”We have got a really good relationship students and don’t usually have any problems.”

Police are examining the footage in a bid to trace the vandals.

Inspector Janet Heritage, of West Mercia Police, said: ”We are well aware of the incidents over the weekend and are working together with the university and other parties involved in addressing the issues and students involved.”

PC Julie Merry, local policing officer for St John’s, said: ”I hope the irresponsible behaviour of this small number of students is a one-off.

”I can assure residents that I will not tolerate this behaviour from anyone and will be taking positive action against these students and anyone else behaving like this in the area.”

University chiefs today said they had launched an investigation into the incident.

Registrar John Ryan said: ”We will not tolerate any kind of anti-social behaviour from our students and we take any such incidents very seriously.

”Any students found to have behaved in an anti-social manner will be dealt with immediately by the university.”

Police say the offender dressed as the Hulk was 6ft tall, of a stocky build, with short brown hair.

He was painted green and wore a ripped T-shirt and torn cut-off trousers.
