Stacey Solomon has been crowned I’m a Celebrity’s Queen of the Jungle 2010.
After coming in a disappointing third place in last year’s X Factor, the 21-year-old Essex girl emerged triumphant this time, beating off stiff competition from Happy Mondays frontman Shaun Ryder to take the title.
On hearing the news stunned Stacey said: “What the hell just happened? Thank you so much, I dunno what to say.”
She admitted she was happy to be out of the jungle, saying: “I can’t wait to get back to Dagenham. I’m going to see my friends and go down the pub for a Malibu and pineapple. Maybe two.”
Runner-up Shaun, 48, told The Sun he had actually planned to appear on Strictly Come Dancing rather than I’m A Celebrity, but BBC bosses barred him for his foul mouth.
He said: “Producers wanted me to do Strictly and I said yes, but the head of the BBC ruled that I couldn’t be trusted live on Saturday prime-time.
“I have got a naughty mouth but I wouldn’t have sworn on the live shows.”
He also insisted that controversial contestant Gillian Mckeith had been faking her fainting, saying: “That woman deserves a Bafta, an Oscar, a theatre award – the lot. Why didn’t she walk if she was that frightened?”
The Sun also reports that a Stacey and Shaun duet may be in the works, with Shaun describing the winner as “Brilliant, I am a big fan. That girl is phenomenal.”
