Hundreds of people were singing in the rain as they broke the record for the world’s largest ever umbrella dance.
A total of 234 dancers carrying umbrellas met near the centre of Bath, Somerset. Watched by a Guinness World Records adjudicator they then performed a specially choreographed five-minute dance to the song ”Singin’ in the Rain”.
The event, organised by Bath International Dance Festival, smashed the previous world record.
BIDF Director James Whitehead said: ”It has taken over six months of exceptionally hard work to allow us to run this very special activity.
”This year’s record attempt symbolises our ethos to encourage participation in dance and bring people together.
”Being a World Record holder is fantastic achievement.”
