An unlucky couple are counting the cost after their wedding was cancelled for the SECOND time at the SAME venue.
Candy Hollyman and Stephen Trott’s wedding plans were left in tatters when Chewton Place mansion house near Bristol closed down in December 2011.
But they were delighted when the new operators offered to honour all existing bookings and their big day was scheduled to go ahead on July 29.
However, current operators Bozeat Palmer Contracts has now been forced to pull out of the business and it will close as a wedding venue.
Candy, 26, and Stephen, 31, will get their £1,000 deposit back but the rest of the costs are not covered by insurance because the company owning the venue has not gone into liquidation.
They are one of 70 couples whose weddings have been cancelled following the closure.
Candy, of Keynsham near Bristol, said: “I have lost all faith in getting married, I just feel like perhaps it is not meant to happen.”
