A pet shop is appealing for information after burglars broke in and stole – two talking parrots.
The distinctive birds, known as Rosie and Henry, are worth £4,000 and were taken in a late-night raid.
Rosie, a three-year-old pink Gala parrot often repeats the phrases “give us a kiss” and “kiss, kiss, kiss”.
Henry, a four-year-old white Triton Cockatoo, says “hello Charlie” and “good morning”.
Owners Tim Florey, 53, and son Jonathan, 33, raised the birds by hand and considered them as pets.
Tim said: “The birds were a bit like the shop’s pets because we never expected to sell them.”
They are now appealing for information to trace two white men who broke into The Pet Shop, on Station Road, in Shirehampton, Bristol.
The men arrived at the store, on November 26 at 11.40pm, in a white van, which appeared to be a Vauxhall Vivaro with stolen number plates.
The plates have since been found.
