The perma-tanned, vajazzled stars of The Only Way Is Essex returned to our screens last night, with Mark Wright ending his love square (for now, at least) by choosing to commit to on-off love Lauren Goodger.
Serial love rat Mark was seen stringing along Lauren, as well as fellow Essex girls Sam Faiers and Lucy Mecklenburgh, throughout the first series.
Last night viewers saw the slimeball tell his bit-on-the-side Sam that he was ending their fling to ‘make a go of it’ with his ex.
Sat at a table in nightclub Sugar Hut – the place where most of the gang’s dramas seem to unfold – Mark explained: “I’ve seen other girls since I last met Lauren and me and you have got close.
“I just wanted this opportunity to say this to you because I feel that no girl deserves me to explain myself to you more than you do because you’re more special than that.”
An understandably-irritated Sam replied: “Don’t beat around the bush. So we don’t talk after this, no?”
Mark continued: “I’m 24 and I just want to change. I think I want to take it to the next step in the way of making a go of it with Lauren. I’ve been messing around for too long.”
The ‘glamour girl’ (what else?), rather than being happy to be free of the cheater, wandered off looking upset.
Mark is thought to be popping the question to Lauren in an upcoming episode.
Viewers will have to wait and see whether the playboy wannabe’s determination to commit can actually last a whole series.
Mark, I think you should move on from Lauren now. You loved her when you were young and spent 9 years together but people change as they get older. Lauren isnt for you Mark, you need to spread your wings now.
I think its funny that he chose the little fat one when he is so obesessed with looks
little fat one? or the one who claims shes 21 when shes clearly in her early 30s
