A baby-faced whizzkid has astounded technology experts by developing mobile phone apps – aged just 12.
Fahma Waluya Rosmansyah has been hailed a child genius for writing complex computer programmes which help children learn English and maths.
He built his first app using Adobe Flash at the age of 10 and his programmes are now on sale at Nokia’s Ovi store.
Fahma, from Bandung in Indonesia, was born in 1998 and got a thirst for technology from a young age through computers and his own Nokia phones.
While in fifth grade he created his first application – called BAHANA – which allowed young children to learn the alphabet, numbers and colours using a Nokia E71.
The prolific schoolboy went on to develop FIVE more applications in his sixth grade at school.
ENRICH (displayed above) enabled children to translate Indonesian words into English using colourful images and clearly pronounced words.
MANTAP was a similar app but instead taught Indonesian children Maths.
The young app-rentice claims he can create an application from scratch in less than 12 hours – but does so with the help of younger sister, Hania, who provides sound content.
He claims she is his main source of inspiration.
Fahma plans to continue developing apps for local Indonesian children.
His clever creations are now available from Nokia’s Ovi store – to be downloaded by users across the globe.
Brilliant! Well done that kid!
