A former student who filmed himself raping an unconscious woman and sexually molesting two others as they slept has been jailed indefinitely.
Evil Timothy Faulkner, 25, developed a ”sexual obsession” with the women, all students at Coventry University, and after meeting them on nights out.
He attacked the students after he plied them with alcohol and invited the victims to stay overnite.
But Faulkner had rigged cameras in the digs in Radford and at another address in Ravensthorpe, Northampton, and filmed the attacks for his own ”perverted ends” .
Faulkner was convicted of one count of rape and admitted four counts of sexual assault at Coventry Crown Court.
Judge Peter Ross labelled ”socially awkward” Faulkener a danger to the public and gave him a indeterminate sentence but ruled he should serve at least five years and ten months.
The court heard the women had all consumed large quantities of alcohol before the attacks and two of them appeared to be in a ”deep sleep” when he assaulted them.
The attacks took place between 2006-2007 and the assaults were only discovered when pictures of naked women were discovered on Faulkner’s computer.
In December 2007 one victim awoke to find Faulkner pinning her down.
Judge Ross said: ”She awoke to find you on top of her, pinning her down and raping her.
”She called her boyfriend the next day in a state of great distress. Still you maintained this was consensual.
”These were unusual assaults in the sense that, for your own perverted ends, you recorded what you were doing.
”You took photos of one victim and she was placed in poses that were clearly arranged to add an element of eroticism.
”In your evidence you demonstrated a callousness and an utter lack of empathy and remorse for your victims.
”In the light of the planning involved and the sexual obsession shown by you and the manner of these offences, I have decided that you represent a significant risk.”
Judge Ross considered whether it could be assumed Faulkner had drugged his victims but said this could not be proven beyond all reasonable doubt.
He added: ”Two of your victims were utterly at your mercy and you demonstrated that in how you filmed them.”
Faulkner, of Little Lane, Ravensthorpe, will only be released if deemed he is no longer a risk to women.
Defence solicitor Nick Devine, mitigating, said: ”He was struggling socially and struggling sexually.”
