Seinfield actor Len Lesser, who played Uncle Leo in the much-loved sitcom, has passed away aged 88.
His family released a statement last night confirming he had died from cancer-related pneumonia.
Daughter Michelle said: “Heaven got a great comedian and actor today.
“The outpouring of sympathy we’ve already received has been amazing and is so greatly appreciated.
“Thank you to all the special people who helped make my father’s last journey special and surrounded with love.”
Lesser also starred in the Clint Eastwood film Kelly’s Heroes and, more recently, appeared on Everybody Loves Raymond.
