Drum and bass DJ Roni Size appeared in court today accused of attacking a woman and damaging her mobile phone.
The Mercury Prize winner – real name Ryan Williams, 42 – denied one count of grievous bodily harm to Jane Andrews on 11 July 2010.
He also pleaded not guilty to damaging her mobile phone during the same incident when he appeared at Bristol Crown Court.
Dressed in a black shirt, dark blue jeans and with his dreadlocks in a ponytail, Size, from St Andrews, Bristol, spoke to confirm his name and that he understood the proceedings.
His Honour Judge Michael Roach granted conditional bail until a three-day trial at Bristol Crown Court at a date to be set.
