Zara Phillips has announced she is to marry her World Cup-winning rugby star boyfriend Mike Tindall.
The 29-year-old granddaughter of the Queen, who is 11th in line to the throne, has been dating 32-year-old Gloucester player Tindall since 2003.
A statement on the Buckingham Palace website says: “The Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Zara Phillips to Mr Mike Tindall, son of Mr Phillip and Mrs Linda Tindall.”
The pair have lived together since 2007 when they bought a £1 million mansion in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.
Equestrian star Zara’s engagement follows that of her cousin Prince William – who will wed Kate Middleton on April 29 next year.
