Police hunting for a vandal damaging cars in a quiet village found their ‘mane’ suspect — a cheeky horse.
Officers were called to Kingston Deverill, near Warminster, Wilts., following reports that someone had used an “unknown weapon” to scratch thick lines into two cars parked next to a field.
But officers caught their culprit in the act of damaging a third vehicle – when they watched a horse lean over the fence and drag its teeth along the side of a third car.
A spokeswoman for Wiltshire Police said: “The owner is obviously very embarrassed and has agreed to sort out the damage.”
