Police are hunting a gang of thugs who viciously attacked two teenagers in a takeaway following a row – over a bag of CHIPS.
The 19-year-old lads had enjoyed a night out in Birmingham last month when they popped into the chippy on their way home.
But they were targeted by a group of six youths who started throwing chips at them inside Skipper’s Fish Bar in the city centre.
After confronting their tormentors, the teens were assaulted by the group – leaving them needing hospital treatment for facial injuries.
West Midlands Police released CCTV images of people they would like to speak in connection with the assault in the early hours of November 9.
The clear pictures show a group of teenagers in casual clothes scuffling and holding each other back during the 4am brawl.
Detective Constable Justin Le Fort said: “It seems that the fall out started over very little but then the dispute turned violent and the two young men were left needing stitches to injuries sustained during the fracas.
“We have carried out enquiries and now need help from the public to identify those inside the fish bar at the time, who might be able to help with the investigation.”
