Police are hunting a man who grabbed a 12-year-old girl from a play park and dragged her into the woods before raping her.
The attacker, who is said to have spoken with a Scottish accent, targeted the girl who was playing alone in the park in Milton Keynes, Bucks., at around 3pm on March 23.
The terrified victim only reported the rape to Thames Valley Police on Sunday – despite the alleged incident taking place six weeks ago.
Police were yesterday carrying out forensic examinations of the woods and park, off Harrowden in Milton Keynes, Bucks.
The attacker is described as being about 45-years-old with short grey and black hair. He was wearing a black leather jacket, blue jeans and black Dr Martens boots
The victim is described as white, 5ft, slim, with shoulder length brown hair and glasses.
Det Ch Insp Justin Fletcher, from Thames Valley Police, yesterday (Mon) said: “We would urge anyone who saw the victim or a man answering this description in the area around that time to contact us as a matter of urgency.
“We take all allegations of a sexual nature very seriously and understand how difficult it can be for victims to come forward.”
