Shoppers are set to go Ga Ga for these platform shoes which will be the highest heel available on the High Street – at a whopping nine inches.
The ‘Sky Heel’ measures an incredible 22.5cm – a height so extreme that few footwear manufacturers, until now, would dare to make them.
But the outrageous styles sported by Lady Ga Ga have sparked a demand for monster heels,
A-list designers Christian Louboutin and Yves Saint Laurent have long favoured the super-stiletto and their expensive creations are firm favourites with Victoria Beckham, Cheryl Cole, Kate Moss and Dannii Minogue.
But the Sky Heel, available in sparkly red or gold, will cost under #40 when they hit the shops next year.
They will be sold by trendy shoe retailer Parmars at their stores around London and on their website.
A spokesman for the firm said the design was inspired ”by the catwalk, for the sidewalk”.
He added: ”The Sky Heel was fuelled by customer demand to mimic the celebrity look.
”We’ve seen the five-inch and six-inch, and we’ve even seen the seven-inch heel. The trend is bigger, bigger, bigger – and the Sky Heel is the biggest of them all.”
Skyscraper heels have been a celebrity must-have for years, and stores have been quick to adopt the trend. Many sell six-inch versions, while several Kurt Geiger styles reach five.
But at nine inches, the Sky Heel towers over its competitors by a whopping three inches.
this is stupid. women are stupid. fall and break your knees.
The first shoe to require an air sickness bag…….
Women with broken ankles are so hot!
yea! cause everyone aspires to be just like a FKD up drug addict! hurray! T.V. is real yoh! Be cool like me kids *cough hack Wheeze* thud. ever notice how rock stars and pop stars do the same thing the bible does? give false hope to people on the bottom? cause every millionare started out as a drugged up phsycopath roaming the ghetto streets… mhmmm… wake up.
Not EVERY millionaire started out that way, but many “rock stars and pop stars” actually did…
Good for short fat chicks with chubby legs – “it lengthens the line of the leg” and makes up for your genetic failures. (snicker laugh)
Why don’t women understand – you don’t have to WALK in them… swear…
This is nothing new. Two decades or so ago, young Japanese women wore platform boots that make these look like flats.
Horrible style, but I’d love to try a pair under long jeans. The added height would be fantastic!
Not sure how far I’d get without hanging on to my husband’s arm though 🙁
anyone with a brain can see that the picture is not the actual shoe. it’s a horribly disfigured and photoshopped stripper shoe which is appears closer to 15 inches. If the retarded editors could manage to actually post a useful picture, everyone might not be so inflammatory due to a ridiculous image.
I don´t know, if I should like these kind of views… but I think it could be something new in the streets. And news are not always bad!
