Pop sensation Peter Andre was forced to cancel the first night of his tour today – after being rushed to hospital with ”excruciating” stomach pains.
Father-of-two Andre, 32, was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton in the early hours of this morning.
He was ”terribly disappointed” to miss the sell out gig – was due to be held at Plymouth Pavilions at 7.40 yesterday evening.
The 2,500 devastated fans – who had each shelled out up to £35 for a ticket – were told the performance would be rescheduled to December 21.
Andre’s manager Claire Powell said he hoped to continue his 14 show tour at Minehead on Saturday.
She said: ”Peter Andre was rushed to hospital in the early hours of this morning in excruciating pain.
”At present he is being monitored closely and being kept in for extensive tests and scans.
”Peter was due to play at Plymouth Pavilions tonight for the first night of his Arena Tour, however this has had to be postponed due to his current condition and will be re-scheduled for Tuesday 21st December 2010.
”We are very worried about Peter and at present we do not know what is causing him to be in so much pain.
”Peter is terribly disappointed that he is unable to perform at tonight’s sold out opening night.”
Peter – ex-husband of Katie Price – recently revealed problems with gallstones and admitted he had been undergoing hospital tests for a mystery illness earlier this month.
A spokesman for Musgrove Park Hospital refused to comment on Peter’s condition.
